The short version ​

RailsCTO is a Claude Code plugin that runs entirely on your local machine. It does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data.

What RailsCTO does not do ​

  • No telemetry. The plugin does not phone home, send analytics, or report usage data.
  • No data collection. Your code, prompts, file contents, and git history stay on your machine.
  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or user tracking of any kind.
  • No cookies. The plugin has no web interface and sets no cookies.
  • No third-party services. RailsCTO does not connect to external APIs or services on its own.

The documentation site ​

This website (railscto.com) is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. No personal information is collected through this site.

The companion gem ​

The rails-cto Ruby gem runs locally via the command line. It scaffolds configuration files and runs checks against your codebase. It does not make network requests, collect data, or communicate with any external service.

Claude Code ​

RailsCTO runs inside Claude Code, which is operated by Anthropic. Your interactions with Claude Code are governed by Anthropic's privacy policy and terms of service. RailsCTO itself has no access to or control over how Anthropic handles your data.
